[ claudia is certainly no stranger to the circus, but she's never seen anything quite like this before. a large tent covered in stripes, standing right in the middle of the parking lot -- curiosity gets the best of her and she sets out to investigate the mysterious area. she's prepared to use her magic to light up the area if she needs to, but it seems as though that won't be needed.
which is odd, because nobody seems to be present inside. it's clearly been occupied, what with all of the equipment. this place does look like some kind of circus -- she can at least discern that with the equipment here that she does recognize -- but there's nobody here...
she decides to take her chances. ]
Hello? Anyone in here? [ help her investigate, maybe? ]
popcorn.
[ popcorn is so fascinating to her. claudia comes from before a time when such a commodity existed, and she’s completely entranced, watching the machines do their work on the kernels. when they first start popping, she feels a little nervous, like she’s expecting them to explode the contraption that seems to be heating them up -- but she’s excited to see what happens regardless. technology here is amazing…!
anyone who happens to be popping their own popcorn will be met with claudia standing on the opposite side of the machine, leaning in to watch the machine do its work. she’s gently rubbing her chin, thoughtfully. ]
So! How does this work? Is it using some kind of sun magic spell to heat all of this up?
[ man, if only she had the sun primal stone… she could experiment with all of this and learn to make her own popcorn even without the machines. that’d be cool. ]
fires.
[ the tent’s already started to collapse. dozens of holes are appearing on the ceiling, letting in the harmful rays of the sun. claudia hadn’t realized that the sun in this world was so dangerous, so she gets caught standing in the sunlight for a moment and recoils in pain. her body feels like it’s being lit on fire, and she nearly keels over from how sore it is.
and she very well might have, if the inside of the tent weren’t being lit on fire. she lets out a gasp and starts to make a run for it -- but she sees someone (you!) behind her nearly surrounded by burning objects. claudia’s instincts are telling her to run, but her conscience is telling her that she needs to help. so she listens to that better half of herself and makes her way over to whoever’s stuck. there’s a small, narrow walkway that the person can use to slither out and away from being trapped completely. claudia stands at the end of that walkway and calls out: ]
Hey! Over here, c’mon!
[ she holds out her hand towards them, trying to avoid being burned by the flames.
alternatively, catch her getting stopped in her tracks by a shelf that falls in front of her. it, too, is ablaze, and as other objects start toppling over around her, she may need a little help getting out of here. ]
